Supporting the next generation of marine biologists

EMBRC-BE facilitates access to marine-related research opportunities, and supports the education of next generations of marine biologists. This is achieved through two initiatives:

1) Online Global Marine Training Catalogue (https://marinetraining.org/) (for courses/workshops advertising)
2) Organization of marine training workshops (registration, outreach, supervision of learning design)
3) E-Learning Platform (to support training courses delivery, either online or blended delivery mode) (https://oceantraining.eu)
4) Training needs surveys and Training needs gap analysis in function of specific stakeholders

  • The IMBRSea Masters Programme - The International Master in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea), is a joint Master programme organised by eleven leading European universities in the field of marine sciences; Ghent University (BE), Sorbonne University (FR), University of the Algarve (PT), University of Oviedo (ES), Atlantic Technological University (IE), University of the Basque Country (ES), Polytechnic University of Marche (IT), and University of Bergen (NO), University of Western Brittany - UBO (FR), University of Côte d’Azur - UCA (FR) and University of Gothenburg - UGOT (SE), supported by EMBRC operators.

EMBRC-BE can offer different trainings, educational programs and opportunities with students. UGent is the representative of the training aspects of this research infrastructure. EMBRC-BE also offer training services such as conference room rental and on-site / remote access to library services.
